Summary
Bro Mike teaches from Ephesians 2 about the transformation from spiritual death to spiritual life. He explains that before salvation, we were dead in trespasses and sins, following Satan who rules as the prince of the power of the air. However, through Christ, believers are now seated in heavenly places above Satan’s domain. The key message is that Christians have complete authority over Satan unless they willingly give it away through sin, bad choices, or negative attitudes. When believers choose to sin or take offense, they surrender their spiritual seat of authority to the devil, who then has permission to torment them. He emphasizes that God has established spiritual laws – when we sow righteousness, we reap blessing, but when we sow sin, we reap consequences. Christians must understand their position of authority and guard it carefully by making godly choices.
Intro Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You for bringing us together today to study Your Word. We ask that You open our hearts and minds to receive what You want to teach us through this discussion. Help us to be honest with ourselves and with each other as we explore these truths about our spiritual position in Christ. Give us wisdom to understand how to walk in the authority You’ve given us, and show us any areas where we may have surrendered ground to the enemy. We invite Your Holy Spirit to guide our conversation and transform our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
