# Summary
In today’s sermon, we explored the powerful narrative of Zacharias and Mary from Luke 1. Zacharias, a priest, and his wife Elizabeth were righteous before God but childless. Despite decades of prayer, Zacharias doubted when the angel Gabriel announced that they would have a son, John the Baptist. In contrast, Mary, a young virgin, received the news of her miraculous conception of Jesus with faith and acceptance. The sermon emphasized the importance of maintaining faith in God’s promises, even when they seem delayed, and highlighted the difference between questions of doubt and questions seeking understanding.
